About the Program

All EKU faculty (full-time and part-time) teaching at least one General Education course are encouraged to participate in EngaGE initiatives. The core of EngaGE is transformation and innovation. That is, the program is focused on providing the structure, support, and encouragement for all faculty to incorporate innovative teaching approaches and design dynamic learning environments into their General Education courses.

The program process:

  • Faculty new to EKU and to teaching General Education are introduced to the program through an introductory workshop during New Faculty Symposium (NFS) held each August.
  • Faculty reimagine General Education pedagogy in collaboration with peers in the Teaching Circle.
  • Faculty share their process and designs (or redesigns) each year.
