About EngaGE

Acknowledging that courses in EKU’s General Education program often benefit from specialized instructional design, approaches, and logistical support, EngaGE brings centralized resources, opportunities, incentives, and recognitions to faculty through:

  • A dedicated team of Mentors representing teaching within and across the General Education elements providing inspiration, guidance, and support to faculty;
  • Highly tailored, one-on-one consultations on General Education course design;
  • Collaborative, community-building seminars focused on topics of significance for General Education teaching and learning;
  • Support for faculty in the form of workshops, class observations, and opportunities to use the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning space and resources to host General Education classes you are teaching or related events;
  • The Redesign program that provide structure, resources, support, and incentive for faculty to reimagine General Education courses through mentor collaborations and Teaching Circles;
  • Fall and spring conferences and programming that encourage collaboration and innovation across General Education elements;
  • General Education teaching certificates; and
  • University-wide faculty recognition that showcases General Education teaching.
