About EngaGE
Acknowledging that courses in EKU’s General Education program often benefit from specialized instructional design, approaches, and logistical support, EngaGE brings centralized resources, opportunities, incentives, and recognitions to faculty through:
- A dedicated team of Mentors representing teaching within and across the General Education elements providing inspiration, guidance, and support to faculty;
- Highly tailored, one-on-one consultations on General Education course design;
- Collaborative, community-building monthly seminars focused on topics of significance for General Education teaching and learning;
- Support for faculty in the form of workshops, class observations, and opportunities to use the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning space and resources to host General Education classes you are teaching or related events;
- Redesign Awards at the course and assignment levels that provide structure, resources, support, and incentive for faculty to think deeply about their General Education course design through mentor collaborations and Teaching Circles; and
- Annual faculty awards for success in General Education teaching and learning;
- Fall and spring conferences that encourage collaboration and innovation across General Education elements;
- General Education course-design institutes; and
- University-wide faculty recognition that showcases General Education teaching.
